Showy star shaped crimson flowers peak in May but can bloom for quite a long time after. Growing 1.5-2' tall in full to part sun this perennial can be short lived but will generally reseed throughout garden if left alone. If soil is too acidic it may not do well and you should add lime. Attracts butterflies and makes great cut flower.
